alpha-Dihydroartemisinin CAS#81496-81-3

1. Effective Against Malaria: Potent against asexual-stage Plasmodium parasites, including chloroquine- and piperaquine-resistant falciparum malaria.

2. Oral Bioavailability: Excellent absorption, with peak plasma concentration reached within 1.33 hours after oral administration.

3. Clinically Proven: Used to treat all forms of malaria, especially in emergency cases like cerebral malaria and severe resistant strains.

4. Favorable Safety Profile: Demonstrates a safe profile with no teratogenic effects, even when administered during gestation in animal studies.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Dihydroartemisinin exhibits potent activity against asexual-stage Plasmodium parasites, effectively controlling symptoms and eliminating various forms of Plasmodium during the asexual reproductive phase. It demonstrates efficacy against both chloroquine-resistant and piperaquine-resistant falciparum malaria while maintaining a favorable safety profile. Animal studies have shown that administration during the gestational period in mice may increase fetal chemicalbook incidence, though no teratogenic effects were observed.

The compound demonstrates excellent oral bioavailability, with peak plasma concentrations (Cmax) of 0.71μg/ml achieved within 1.33 hours (tmax) following a 2mg/kg oral dose. Clinically, it is employed for treating all forms of malaria, with particular value in emergency management of cerebral malaria and severe chloroquine/piperaquine-resistant falciparum malaria cases.
