In aqueous solution, sodium bisulfate fully dissociates into sodium (Na⁺), hydrogen (H⁺), and sulfate (SO₄²⁻) ions. As a mineral acid, it is not considered likely to contaminate groundwater or soil, nor to accumulate within the food chain (EPA 1993).
