PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Molecular sieve is an aluminosilicate compound with a cubic crystal lattice, primarily composed of silicon and aluminum atoms connected by oxygen bridges to form an open, three-dimensional framework. This structure features numerous uniformly sized channels and precisely arranged cavities, resulting in a high internal surface area. The framework also contains loosely bound metal cations with low valence and large ionic radii, along with water molecules in a chemically adsorbed state.

Upon heating, the water is removed without collapsing the crystal structure, leaving behind uniform cavities connected by micropores of consistent diameter. These pores can selectively adsorb molecules that are small enough to enter, while excluding larger ones—allowing molecular sieves to separate compounds based on size, shape, polarity, boiling point, or saturation. Due to this unique “molecular screening” ability, molecular sieves are widely used in various industries, including chemicals, electronics, petrochemicals, and natural gas processing, for applications such as drying, purification, and separation.
