Fe-MOFs (iron-based metal organic framework materials) are used as catalysts for the treatment of printing and dyeing wastewater. They can degrade organic pollutants by activating persulfate or photocatalytically, and are characterized by high efficiency and strong designability. They are mainly used for the catalytic degradation of organic pollutants in wastewater.

Catalytic Degradation of Organic Dyes:
Fe-MOFs can act as catalysts for redox reactions, degrading various organic dyes in printing and dyeing wastewater, such as rhodamine B and methyl orange.
Photocatalytic Degradation:
Utilizing the photocatalytic properties of MOFs, dyes can be degraded into harmless substances under light.
Electrocatalytic Degradation:
Fe-MOFs can also serve as electrode materials, degrading organic pollutants in printing and dyeing wastewater through electrochemical reactions.

Tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) is a quaternary ammonium compound and the most widely used phase transfer catalyst. Its interfacial properties have been examined in hydroxide-initiated reactions, providing insights into the mechanisms of phase transfer processes. TBAB has been shown to reduce retention time and eliminate peak tailing by functioning as an ion-pair reagent in the chromatographic analysis of quaternary ammonium compounds. In its molten state, TBAB acts as an ionic liquid, offering a green and sustainable alternative to organic solvents in organic synthesis. Its molar heat capacity, entropy, and free energy function have also been determined.
